RED BULL CURATES: THE CANVAS COOLER PROJECT

Join Red Bull and 20 of Chicago’s top contemporary artists this Thursday, May 16th, for a showcase competition that will send two lucky artists off to SCOPE Miami!!! Red Bull Curates Canvas Cooler gives artists a one-day challenge to transform a blank canvas-wrapped Red Bull Cooler into a work of art. You and the judges will vote two artists through to be sent to SCOPE Miami on December 4th.

Come on out and see what these talented artists create Thursday, May 16th. Enjoy a premium hosted bar and music by DJ Zebo!!

Modern Co-op’s One Year Anniversary Party!

Having just turned one, Modern Cooperative has had one heck of a year! Voted Best New Home Shop 2012 by Time Out Chicago, there’s no telling what year two will bring!! Modern Cooperative stays fresh and distinctive by showcasing beautiful vintage furniture as well as work by local artists who use reclaimed and re-purposed materials. Come see what all the fuss is about Friday, May 10th from 6pm-11pm.

Modern Cooperative will be showcasing a new collection by Modified Originals, a Chicago furnitrue and design collaborative that creates pieces out of reclaimed and salvaged materials. Enjoy live music by Jenny Dragon from 8pm-10pm and enjoy treats by Puffs of Doom and 5411 Empanadas. Beer and wine will also be served!
